I'm offended that the current Executive Branch believes they can buy the public with shiny new things dropped down from on high.
NYT 4.2.21: "But Mr. Biden is predicting that the broad appeal of wider roads, faster internet, high-speed trains, ubiquitous charging stations for electric cars, shiny new airport terminals and upgraded water pipes will undercut the expected barrage of ideological attacks..."
These are like carnival prizes designed to trick a silly, shallow public into giving away authority, independence and self-sufficiency in exchange for short-term pleasantries. It weakens our democracy and increasing that autocracy of the DNC as they are at present.
