 Tammy Baldwin,

Passage of HR1 is most distressing to me for multiple reasons. First being the process of haste and suppression of deliberation. Second being its prohibition of removing eligible voters from voter rolls. Third being its unconstitutional grab removing from states authority granted to them specifically by the Constitution. Fourth - the SIZE. Financial numbers become abstract - but $1 trillion in one-HUNDRED-dollar bills stacked on top of each other would reach to the International Space station and a comparable distance beyond.

Never has a bill created more hard feelings for me, a very moderate, middle-class pacifist. It's passage pushes me to feel as if there is some kind of a war going on within our politics and maneuvers are being made that will benefit only the class with power (primarily elected officials and their financiers.)

Please respond with an explanation of the haste and bipartisanship involved. I was optimistic that Biden would keep his promise of working to unite our beleaguered nation. If that was an honest intention, I hope he will stand up against bully-partisanship and veto HR1 in its present form.
